How do I use the Orifice Calculator? – FAQs

You must be registered with us in order to access the calculator, if you have an account, log in, otherwise make an account and come back.

Solve for Orifice Diameter
If you are looking to solve for an orifice diameter for a flow product, (1)make sure that “Orifice Diameter” is highlighted green at the top of the calculator. When this is completed you will see the (2)output box labeled “Orifice Diameter” also highlighted green at the bottom. To find this value, (3)input values for all the items highlighted yellow making sure to (4)choose the correct units for each element. Next, (5)Pick the gas type using the drop-down labeled “Gas Type”, the “Molecular Weight” space will fill in automatically. Once all the information has been filled out, (6)press “Calculate”, the resulting value will appear in the green highlighted box.

 

Solve for Flow Rate
If you are looking to solve for a flow rate for a flow product, (1)make sure that “Flow Rate” is highlighted green at the top of t he calculator. When this is completed you will see the (2)output box labeled “Flow Rate” also highlighted green at the bottom.
To find this value, (3)input values for all the items highlighted yellow making sure to (4)choose the correct units for each element.
Next, (5)Pick the gas type using the drop-down labeled “Gas Type”, the “Molecular Weight” space will fill in automatically.
Once all the information has been filled out, (6)press “Calculate”, the resulting value will appear in the green highlighted box.
