A variety of glass Lenox Laser will laser drill for CCIT (Container Closure Integrity Testing) and package testing. This includes syringes, bottles, ampoules, amber, and all different qualities of glass.

In the field of pharmaceutical or critical packaging, the confidence in integrity is crucial, both during the use and the shelf-life of the container. Container closure integrity testing, or CCIT, differs from other methods of future sterility as it analyzes the structural integrity of the container or closure to assure no leakages. Here at Lenox Laser, we perform customized laser drilling services on these pharmaceutical packages along with many other types of packaging. Our goal is to provide a controlled metric or standard for container closure integrity testing by creating calibrated leaks.

Calibrated leaks are laser drilled holes on critical and pharmaceutical packaging such as bottles, syringes, needles, and many more. These leaks can be put into various locations and are individually calibrated. Lenox Laser’s process of flow calibration and verification can be comprised of multiple steps and phases; each integral part along with the final assembly of the product is validated using these multi-step procedures. These calibrated leaks are carefully drilled to allow for precise container closure integrity testing and metrology. Lenox Laser also supplies special cross-calibration services through the mixed use of optical, mechanical, or flow calibration methods as means of validation and verification. The selection of the correct combination of methods would be dependent on a choice of container type, material, and location of the calibrated leak. You can request a quote here.
